Days 16 & 17 Power of Cheese Litter

Mom and pups continue to do great.  All the pups are over 2 lbs now!  They've had their 3rd toenail trim, and all but Pepper Jack & Gouda slept right through it - Gouda wanted to play with me, and Pepper Jack just had ants in his pants, but we got 'em done!

Caught some pics of them yesterday and today....not great photography while we're not using the flash this week, and it'll be tougher and tougher to catch them, as they become more active; but still got a few cute ones:

The milkbar is officially open.  Left to right:

Pepper Jack was not to be outdone in the action-shots department...

He spent a good amount of time rolling around and playing next to mama Lychee:

07/28 Power of Cheese Update - days 11 to 16

We've got eyes popping open all over the place!  :)

That means no flash photography for a little bit, to spare those sensitive, newly-opened eyes.

Brie was first, on Friday, followed by Fontina.  Everyone is at least starting to open their inner corners of their eyelids and peer at the world - except for Gorgonzola, our little hold out.

In spite of not opening her eyes yet, Zola remains the most active explorer in the group right now...trucking all over the pool and beginning to chew on her siblings some - instigating the very beginnings of play.

This morning, all the pups were beginning to try actual walking (this means they take about 1 to 3 steps before losing balance and doing a 'Captain Kirk' roll - but that doesn't stop them, they get right up and try again.)

They have also just begun to discover that their mouths are good for things other than nursing....like mouthing human fingers, and chewing on each other's limbs and heads.

The next few days should see some major jumps in development overall.  Here are pics from the last 5 days:

"Ok, I'll just take a little nap with you."

Power of Cheese Pupdate 07/23/19

Not too much new going on for the pups over the last few days.  They're still in the 'eat/sleep/eat/sleep' mode.  Soon, eyes will start popping open and next will come walking, and then things will get really fun!

Gorgonzola has been the 'busy' pup lately - always on the move, crawling about the whelping pool while her siblings nap.

Fontina is our big gainer over the last few days, surpassing Gouda and Colby as the biggest pup.

Colors are still continuing to change and clear up, as they will for the next 6 weeks or so, but every day they all look a little different!

Ok!  On to some new pics:

Zola and a bit of Pepper Jack (so dark!) and Colby (turning really red!)

Gouda (bottom), Colby, Pepper Jack

Stilton - starting to clear the sable 'soot' from his red and showing some pretty brindle striping.

Fontina

Brie - also starting to clear up and show some stripes.

Incredible to see how much they've grown, in comparison to their first few nursing pictures!
