Our first puppy visit was a great success. Many thanks to those who could make it yesterday, and looking forward to next week's visit as well!
The OTC 1 & 2 pups are at the stage where they are growing and progressing by leaps and bounds. Each day, we see better coordination, more play activities, and are just generally watching them turn into tiny dogs before our very eyes.
Lots of new pictures of the pups for this post. (And the pics are all nearly a week old! - Our apologies on slow updates. Jen's laptop crashed this week, so we're slow getting new pics up. We'll try to get another update in with newer pics in a day or two again.)
On to the fun:
First up, we have some truly silly nursing pics of Spicy and the Olde Time Candy Litter pt. 3. Spicy's favorite position for nursing is...well, on her back:
Zipper, Twix, and Clark doing some serious nursing, while Rolo & JuJubes snooze in the rumpled bedding at mom's head.
A few hours later....Spicy switched it up a little by going on her back in the OTHER direction!
This time, Twix is the only one at the bar.
Later that same day, we put new toys in the big puppies' pen. Spicy promptly stole this squeaky tiger toy for herself and her brood.
Well...that normal sleeping/nursing position didn't last long...here we are again on our back.
Twix is functioning as a pillow for Spicy, Twizzler's rear is near the tiger toy, Zipper's nursing with her back to the camera, Rolo has perched on mom's belly for nursing, and JuJubes in rolling around like a roly~poly next to Zipper.
Spicy appears to have a monkey on her back......
oh, wait, that's just Peppermint Patty.

Next up, a bunch of pics of the Olde Time Candy litters Pt. 1 & 2. These guys are out of their baby pools and turning into little dogs so fast. The moms are sharing nursing and cleaning duties with all the pups - one big happy family!

It takes a village to raise a child...and two whippet moms to feed a brood of 10! Such a sweet pic of cooperative parenting.
