Celebrating Feynman

It is with a heavy heart that I write that our boy, Feynman (HT-Runrig Feynman, OTR, SR, RN), crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, April 15th, 2024.  Feynman, and his brother Fermi, who is still with us, had just turned 14 years old on Saturday the 13th.

Feynman was from our very first litter (Divo x Penelope), and is the first pup who was born here in our home to pass, bringing an extra layer of grief.  Due to either a brain or spinal issue, he had deteriorated rapidly and it was time to say goodbye.  While it is a blessing he did not have to linger with a long decline, and we are grateful to have had so many wonderful years with him, it is never long enough.

Feynman was a quirky, silly boy who was keen on the lure and did well in the showring.  He was a rattlesnake bite survivor, and had his share of typical whippet mishaps, but always took things in stride.  He and his brother were best buddies and we often called them 'The Two-Headed Monster' - they slept together, ate together, and just generally hung out as a team.  He will be missed by us all.

Goodnight, Sweet Prince.
