They've had a blast stretching their legs and exploring, as well as wrestling and playing. Of course, they still love to 'whippet pile' while sleeping - sometimes in small groups of 3 or 4, but sometimes even all 11 will pile on - in spite of having a ton more space!
But first up, a few new pics of past pups:
Big brags for Waffle (HT Hot Toddy) and Wilco (HT Rigatoni Sorrentino) - practicing their 'go to your place' skill that they learned with Jen in their Front Range K9 classes:
And big kudos to their mom and dad for continuing with their training - it's really paid off lately, as the dogs and their parents have had a looooong stay in a hotel while waiting to close on their house in their new home state of California. This shot was taken at a local winery that they all got to visit together. All that training has got to be helping the dogs (and the people) cope with not having a home base for so long. Good job, Dani & Clint, on keeping the dogs working to relieve some stress...though everyone looks pretty happy here! (Must be the wine....)
Next up, we've got Moon Pie (HT Moon Pie) of our Olde Time Candy litter pt. 1 - in his birthday pic with his namesake candy:
Next up, we've got a great pic of Rowan (HT Stoli on the Rocks) chillaxin' - whippet style!
And now, on to the wee puppies:
Domino, Scaramanga, and Zoe Nightshade - exhausted!
Domino - practicing those famous whippet puppy calisthenics.
Xenia Onatopp & her sis, Kissy Suzuki
Xenia Onatopp
Francisco Scaramanga & his bro, Ernst Stavro Blofeld
Max Zorin & his bro, Auric Goldfinger
Polli and Lychee sharing nursing duties (they no longer discriminate between the two litters - they'll both nurse each other's pups) this morning in the 'big' pool in our bedroom. At night, the pups and moms are in the bedroom with us. By day, they get the puppy kennel in the bedroom. They graduated out of their small, individual puppy pools 2 nights ago, as the pups were crawling over the sides of the pools! The big pool is much larger and deeper - allowing room for all the pups, both moms, 2 litter boxes, and bedding. Not much room left for humans to walk around, though! :)
Max Zorin and Ernst Stavro Blofeld playing with the orange crinkle fox toy.
Awwww. Xenia Onatopp and Lavender Peacock...starting to tire out.
Domino Vitalli - playing with her ducky...and looking sleepy.
Auric Goldfinger - still can't tell what color he'll be when he's finally done changing colors!
Smiley Xenia Onatopp
Xenia and brother Blofeld
Ernst Stavro Blofeld!
Awwwww...Francisco Scaramanga
Domino Vitalli sleeping with the blues - sounds like some song lyrics.
Kissy Suzuki playing with sis Xenia Onatopp
Tired Goldfinger
Zoe Nightshade
Xenia again...she had a busy morning!
'Crazy Eyes' - Sir Hugo Drax. All the blue dilute pups' eyes look funky right now as we wait for them to darken and change.
Falling asleep with their crinkle fox - Hugo Drax & Domino Vitalli.
Bright-eyed busy bee, Xenia. She was awake long after everyone else fell asleep. She kept wandering around her new big kennel space, complaining. Who knows what the issue was - maybe she was overwhelmed (and overly tired) with her new digs. Maybe bored since everyone else was napping.
Hugo Drax - unlike Xenia - can't quite keep his eyes open.
Lavender Peacock - off to the land of zzzzz's.
We finally put Xenia Onatopp up on the couch with her mom to see if that would settle her. Yep...that did the trick!
Dr. Julius No
Auric Goldfinger, Zoe Nightshade, and Kissy Suzuki
Ahhhh...Xenia's finally asleep.
And so are Lavender Peacock and Domino Vitalli!
