Momma dog bellies! 05/18/14

Momma dog update:

Bella looks to have 5, maybe 6 pups percolating.  We think both girls have a bit of time before popping...looks like the end of this week or so for Bella;  10 days or so for Miss Penelope....

Penelope looks to have 4, maybe 5 puppies percolating.  Clearly, she's not worried about it at all.

All of the dogs (except puppy Trinity) went for a conditioning sprint today on our property.  They were soooo glad to get out of their regular yard, and open up and RUN in the nice weather. 

We generally send them out in groups of 2 to 4 at a time, so we can keep track of them and make sure they come back in a few minutes.  With the hilly terrain of the foothills just outside the front door, they disappear from view quickly, but they have a 'circuit' they seem to like to keep to and after doing a few laps on it (each lap consisting of about 600 to 800 or more yards), they come panting back to the house.  :) 

Penelope went with Bella, Spicy, and Lychee, and in true Penelope form, led the way at full tilt, in spite of being 25" around now!
